Daniel Truran

MA Intern (NJ)

Daniel Truran is a graduate student intern pursuing his Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Crown College, under the supervision of Esther Doh, MA, LPC (License #37PC00482600). Daniel holds a Master’s of Arts in Pastoral Counseling, and previously worked in the field of customer service and account management. His passion for holistic health and desire to help individuals thrive relationally, emotionally, and spiritually led him to pursue a career in counseling.

Daniel is forming his therapeutic approach as he develops as an intern, but focuses on using cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and psychoeducation. He strongly believes that mental wellness is directly correlated to holistic health, and considers an individual’s physical, emotional, social, environmental, and spiritual states when setting goals to support overall wellbeing.

When not counseling, Daniel enjoys fishing, playing guitar, and spending time relaxing with his wife and dog. In holistic health he finds that prioritizing time in intentional community with others to be an encouraging and satisfying aspect of life. Daniel hopes to share his experience, education, and care for others in a pursuit to partner with clients on their journey of growth and health.
