Ana DaCosta
MFT Intern (NJ)
Ana DaCosta is a graduate student currently pursuing her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Kairos University, under the supervision of Esther Doh, MA, LPC (License #37PC00482600). Grounded in a firm belief in the resilience of the human spirit, Ana places great faith in the redemptive power of hope and love to restore lives and relationships.
In her therapeutic approach, Ana is trained in both systemic and whole-person methodologies. She understands that individuals exist within larger systems such as families, relationships, and social networks, and she views therapy through this lens. Rather than solely focusing on internal processes, Ana considers how individuals interact with their environment and the people around them. She believes in addressing all aspects of a person’s being—physical, emotional, psychological, social, and spiritual—to promote overall well-being and balance in life.
With a background in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration from Nyack College, NY, Ana brings a diverse skill set to her practice. Her goal is to illuminate and explore clients’ difficulties, helping them understand how relational dynamics influence behaviors and problems. By identifying and altering problematic interaction patterns, Ana aims to foster healthier communication and relationships among her clients.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Ana is bilingual in Portuguese and English, and she finds joy in outdoor activities like hiking, camping, and running, as well as spending quality time with family and friends. Her personal motto, “Be Healthy – Healthy Mind, Healthy Everything,” reflects her commitment to holistic wellness and making positive choices for personal growth and fulfillment. Ana looks forward to collaborating with clients on their journey toward greater well-being and resilience.
